Guided Tour – Yew Chung Primary School

On Wednesday 28th May, 2008, 12 students from Yew Chung Primary School and 2 teachers visited the Moon Gallery to see Li Bang Yao’s solo exhibition. An interactive guided tour, one of the art education programs intended to enhance children’s interest of art was organized by the gallery.
The group was introduced to the gallery with an explanation of the “pop art” genre and then was given the background to the artist who is the pioneer of Chinese cultural Pop.
There was much discussion about the ideas, themes and style behind Li Bang Yao’s artwork and the children were given the opportunity to develop their own ideas by looking at perspective, line and shade in particular with their own sketches.
The students thoroughly enjoyed this event and gave wonderful feedback to Moon Gallery.
