Flower in Shadow- Kyung Jin JAE¡¦s solo exhibition
(21st February ¡V 9th March 2009)

Moon Gallery is delighted to present Kyung Jin Jae¡¦s solo exhibition- Flower in Shadow.

The delicate layering of oil paint upon rice paper, Kyung Jin Jae is sensitive to the passage of time that it embodies. His work fuses the opposing ends of time: the contemporary and traditional, and presents a stunning melee of elements that surpasses time barriers to today¡¦s eye.

The rice paper background denotes its traditional Korean influences and the security in its roots. There is also a sense of fragile, precious beauty supplemented by the thin rice paper sheets which in turn suggest that the splendor of history and tradition must also be treated gently and reverence.

Kyung Jin Jae is the most popular artist from the exhibition ¡§Lunar¡¨ we collaborated with Gallery by the Harbour (Harbour City) last year June.

Moon Gallery wishes to take this opportunity to let Hong Kong art lovers to take a closer look into this unique artist¡¦s work.
