The beautiful sunlit view Victoria Harbour juxtaposed with the cool, sleek, tranquil interior of Gallery by the Harbour on the opening Saturday, created the perfect atmosphere for appreciation of the carefully selected artworks by the "386 generation", the influential group who direct the course of the Korean art scene today. Each artist of this group exhibition expressed their own distinct styles through their artworks and was merged together by their reflections on their Korean heritage as well as the modern day lifestyle. All the pieces take a traditional subject matter, medium or a point of view and surprise the viewer with an original modern twist.
Moon Gallery is the pioneer of wholly Korean exhibitions and hopes to inspire the Hong Kong community and provide them with another exciting aspect of Korean contemporary culture. Together with Gallery by the Harbour, Moon Gallery sets out to promote quality artworks that capture the unique essence of contemporary Korean art.
